The FFP1 grade is the most basic of the FFP masks. If higher protection levels are required or the hazard is slightly toxic and extremely toxic then an FFP2 or FFP3 mask should be selected.
02: What size particulates do FFP1 Masks protect against?
FFP1 face masks protect from particle sizes larger than 5 microns. FFP1 respirators are not suitable to protection against viruses. (FFP3 masks are required)
