Every year, thousands of workers get sick from preventable respiratory diseases because they chose the wrong equipment or bought substandard masks online. The stats are scary – the HSE says for occupational lung disease, almost 12,000 people were recorded in a year in the UK, and many of those deaths are directly related to inadequate respiratory protection.
